Of late, natural cures for gout have become more popular. The primary reason for this is that almost all traditional gout treatments have nasty side effects, or are to take for more than a couple of days. *Eating foods with high amounts of purines. Purines are the ingredients in food that are metabolized by the body into uric acid. Foods thought to raise uric acid include liver and alcohol.
Prevention
*Consuming lots of water, six or more glasses a day, will assist the body to process more uric acid. Water also decreases the chances of having kidney stones.
*Keeping to a proper weight, and having regular exercise lowers the risk and severity of gout attacks.
*Stay away from foods with high amounts of purines.
Foods thought to lower the occurrence of gout include: dairy and , lemon juice.
